The granite outcrops of “The Hazards” dominate the skyline of Great oyster Bay. Delighting the eye as their colours and features change by the moment with the light. The sheltered waters of Great Oyster Bay provide safe anchorage and were a lure to early settlers hoping to make a new life on the land. Cooks Beach, the view point of this image retains some poignant remains of hard working people. Preserved now as part of the Freycinet National Park. The Silver Gull Larus Novaehollandiae is a familiar sight around the coast of Tasmania.
